Global logistics leader DHL has taken a strategic step to strengthen its presence in South India by leasing 4.3 lakh sq ft of large-format warehousing space at Indospace Park, Chennai. The deal, valued at a monthly rental of ₹97 lakh, marks one of the largest warehousing leases in the Chennai industrial and logistics corridor in 2025. Located strategically near key transport hubs, including the Chennai-Bengaluru Highway, Chennai Port, and Chennai International Airport, the facility significantly enhances DHL’s last-mile connectivity and fulfillment capabilities.
The newly leased space at Indospace Park is built to global Grade-A specifications, ensuring superior operational efficiency, safety, and tech-enabled supply chain management. The warehouse will serve multiple sectors, including e-commerce, automotive, retail, manufacturing, and pharmaceuticals, reflecting DHL’s focus on multi-client warehousing and scalable distribution solutions.
Chennai has rapidly emerged as a logistics powerhouse due to its strong industrial base, robust infrastructure, and government-backed initiatives such as the National Logistics Policy and Gati Shakti Master Plan. DHL’s expansion aligns with the rising demand for third-party logistics (3PL), driven by e-commerce growth and supply chain digitization.
This transaction also highlights Indospace Park’s positioning as a premier logistics destination offering modern amenities, sustainability features, and seamless access to major consumption hubs. Industry experts believe that this leasing deal will set a benchmark in Chennai’s logistics real estate market and strengthen the city’s role as a supply chain hub for South Asia. DHL’s move underscores the evolution of India’s logistics and warehousing ecosystem, where demand for large, technology-enabled facilities continues to grow rapidly.
